Pool

We decided to take a quick trip to the pool today, but we've found out everything is a little more difficult than it used to be. We were excited for our first real trip to the pool and we got Jackson into his cute lobster swim trunks and his Little Swimmers diaper(he is at the bottom range of acceptable weight for these diapers). Then I got him lubed up for the sun with SPF 50. Well, the SPF 50 probably prevented any sunburn because he was so covered in rash and welts after application that the sun could not have penetrated. We noticed this when we got to the pool. Laura carried him into the pool and he seemed relatively happy and even gave us a few smiles.
Then we placed him into his crab floatie with a sun canopy and he did pretty well. He kept falling forward with his head on the inflatable part, but he didn't seem to mind.
So here he is floating and as you can see below he is not sure about this experience.
Shortly after this he became a little more "crabby" so we went back home.
15 minutes round trip from home to home. Parental relaxation at its best.
Brought him home and bathed him to get the rest of the suntan lotion off and now we're headed to the store for some baby benadryl.
We'll try to be cuter for next Tues/Wednesday.
On other sadder, unrelated news, Kenny has left Hampton Roads today and is moving to Charlotte, NC. A group of 12-13 went out last night toi send him off and it was good to see him and everyone again but it also made me realize how much he was missed and will be missed.
I'll need to make a roadtrip to NC in the fall.
And lost postscript, mom and dad have a new website for the upcoming store, but its not fixed yet so I won't add a link yet, but I will add a link next post.

These are really too, too cute (even if it is Wednesday!) Thanks for letting the whole world see how adorable our boy is.
