Beach and more!

We have had many a busy day recently and many photo ops as well. I was able to go to Busch Gardens with Jackson and his Virginia grandparents on opening day and Jackson did pretty well overall. He rode on the merry go round and 2 or 3 other rides. He has had 3 or 4 such adventures since and has seemed to warm up to the place(all he says while we are there is choo-choo)Then Laura was off to her baby shower and her night out at Coco Chocolatier with the ladies. And then we were off for an extended stay at the beach house in Carova. We left a Friday night to get to the house and had to get through some harrowing weather in the dark and driving on the beach through a violent storm at high tide to get there. We finally made it there and enjoyed 5 fun filled days at the beach. The wild horses came to visit one day and cooperated by standing photogenically in front of the house. Our small group family all got together at the beach over the first 2 days there. The entire families came to the beach and we all had a great time. We ate, and played games and swam in the ocean! Overall a great few days. The polar bear club of the Outer Banks. The Steck boys(all 3 of them) spent some quality time with Jackson. Thanks to everyone that helped with Jack.
We then had a ladder toss and cornhole tournament and everyone participated.

Jeff ended up being the grand ladder toss champion(I have the entire bracket, but could not get it onto the site). Cornhole was stopped before a winner could be decided due to weather.
Then everyone left and the Grimes came down for 2 or 3 days. Jackson and Logan bathed after a long day at the beach and Logan sported a mean mohawk.
Jackson decided Jason's shoes fit better than his normal ones.
The days at the beach got quite a bit colder all of a sudden but we still got some good pictures.

Jackson did not like walking on the beach with shoes on, but he liked to be barefoot on the sand. And even better he enjoyed having his feet buried in the sand. He then would repeat 1...2...3... and he would pull his feet from the ground and giggle and then say, "More".

We even broke out the Dance Dance Revolution for a little computer aided booty shaking. Finally the beach time was over and we had to return to reality. The beach was relaxing and fun and we would love to do it again someday.
We also went out to an engagement party at the Howards for Scottie. It was a nice party with a LOT of people and we had a good time(even though I was the only one not wearing a sportscoat).
So our next blog should involve a certain small female Obie... We'll see when Beulah arrives.
