The beach and beyond

The little man and his beach.
So this was our messed up vacation. We thought we were off the first week of September and we had that time off from work. Come to find out the beach house in OBX was rented the following week. We scrambled to get Monday and Tuesday off the following week and managed to get down to the beach for a couple of crazy days with the Whites and Covingtons.

The first night was the craziest, but most of the pics are from day 2.

Laura made her mini meatloaves the second night.

They were a big hit with everyone

(who knew cloves and allspice made people go nuts?)

Jackson might have watched his dad clean his plate a few too many times,

and he really like the meatloaf, so....The things these kids learn!

Luckily we were able to get some pool and beach pics as well.Jackson liked relaxing in the fountain that fed into the pool.

Braelynn, Maddie and Morgan posed for a few underwater photos.

Then back to the beach.

Jackson had his legs buried for a few moments

but managed to free them fairly quickly.

He was happy to see them again!

This is a leftover pic from the playground that photoshop made quite a bit better.



But one thing we know to be true.

Both short vacations and blogs must come to an end.
