Harper turned 1 with much fanfare. She even got to wear the tiara.
And Jackson still likes birthdays more than anything else in the world, even when its someone elses.
We think she liked the cake, at least for its facial moisturizing properties.
And of course, she was very thankful for her multitude of gifts.
They still ham it up int he playroom frequently.
But sometimes Jackson just cannot face all the paparazzi.
And he is always SOOOO camera shy.

And then Laura and I got away for a rapid trip up to Charlottesville to go to an Iron and Wine concert, but we managed to stop at Blenheim Winery(owned by Dave Matthews) first.
And had a good dinner as well.
And today we made it to the SPCA petting zoo. I have been there many times before, but it has changed. I highly recommend a return trip for anyone that loves 500 goats, a sadly looking kangaroo and a bucktoothed llama. Even the ostrichs are gone! But Jackson enjoyed feeding the goats.
